Well, we got rain that day. BUT, that didn’t stop this couple from having the outdoor wedding they had planned for. Using their families farm (Farm of Hope), they had decorated and set up the seating the week prior. As the day went by, the heavier rain and wind settled and just in time for their ceremony, it was light enough to not need an umbrella for the vows.
We took photos all over the farm area and even back to where the ceremony was held to make use of all the fantastic chairs they had acquired for the event.
Later on, the party kicked off with the couples favorite bluegrass band, with even an impromptu song with a family member.
A moment we might not see again in another wedding; was when the bride had had enough of dragging around a mud-soaked dress and decided it would be fun to just get the bottom of the dress cut off with scissors.

The Jan Serr is such a cool place, and this couple made it even cooler.
The art space attached, the giant windows and the added plants gave this wedding a unique look.
Still can’t believe the bride got on a SPIN in her wedding dress, but, it shows the fun these two will always have together.

This was a wild, fun group to work with. The day seemed to go quickly because of it.
You could tell the genuine love these two had for each other.
Their ceremony was held right on the lake at Lake Geneva’s Lake Lawn Resort. Being close to the water helped things stay cool along with all the White Claws.

We met Jess and Jake at their engagement session. They drove all the way up to Milwaukee from Chicago in the morning. I think Jess had her makeup done at about 6am. Great couple that was open to our creativeness with photos.

Their wedding was held at the Ivy House; which they had booked before the venue was even completely finished.

Jess had fun with Jake’s first look. Instead of her being there, Jake was surprised by one of their friends dressed up in fake wedding dress.

After the very warm ceremony, we had the chance to go inside and use the venues’ cool spots to get out of the heat and use their unique interior.

Our video team was there as well, so we worked side by side sharing shots and ideas.

We ended the night with the dancing outside of the venue, which felt like the perfect way to end a summer wedding.

This couple met in Australia. They live there, but had the wedding at the Lake Lawn Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We obviously couldn’t drive out and meet, so we FaceTimed. And, even that was tough because our mornings were their night times and versa vice. But we got it done with the power of the internet!
The weather app predicted rain for the day, so we kept an eye out for it. And, we thought we had escaped it, but minutes before the ceremony the rain started coming down, and they moved the ceremony was moved indoors. Fortunately, rain was gone soon and we still got to shoot outside for some great creative shots.
One shot that stands out is the group shot of the bridal party. We set up chairs from the reception outside and set them up the way we wanted them.

The video team joined us on this wedding, and they nearly lost the drone because the weather messed with their signals.

Anyways, the live band killed it at the reception and hearing all the Australian lingo during the speeches was super memorable.

We met this couple for their engagement session, and right away we could tell how how good their vibe was.
On the wedding day we met at The Pfister hotel in Milwaukee.
After the Ceremony, we took the party bus to the lake where we could get the cityscape in the background. Found a sweet spot to have a vogue style photo with all the ladies, while the guys had fun messing around.
After the reception at The Marcus Performance Center, we had a nice sunset on the venue’s balcony looking over the city and river.
Great-fun couple from beginning of engagement session to end of reception!

The Covenant at Murray Mansion is a newer venue and it is about 3minutes from our office. The Mansion has been beautifully remodeled and has plenty of rooms with great furniture to photograph in.

The groom is part of the family that owns the venue, and he and his now wife, got to be the first couple to get married on the outside stairs.

The first look worked so well. The groom had mentioned that he loved the indoor sliding doors, so we used those to make the big reveal.

We all got in a bus after the formals and went to a golf course that was 5 minutes away. Luckily we found some friendly golfers that let us through to get some photos with the big trees and bridge.

It’s always a time saver having great spots to shoot in and out so near by.

Marching band at your reception!? What a cool moment. The couple was surprised by their friends.

Wedding went from a church in Milwaukee to the South Second venue. The weather was great that day so the giant garage doors were wide open on the venue.
